Dr. Nicholas Basset-Smith, Osteopath

Nicholas has grown up participating in basketball, football, and volleyball. This led him to Osteopathy after seeking treatment for the injuries he sustained whilst playing. This experience alone was enough to draw him to the profession and with a passion in health and fitness he was guided to pursue a career as an Osteopath.

He graduated from RMIT University with a Bachelor of Health Science/Applied Science (Osteopathy) and is qualified in Dry Needling and cupping.  He has worked as a sports trainer long term with Eltham football club and with Sydney Swans VFL & AFLW.

He employs a structural approach during his appointments aiming to improve functionality and reduce pain to assist patients returning to the activities they love. He believes an active approach to recovery is key and combines osteopathic techniques, rehabilitation education, and lifestyle management advice to achieve the best results.

Outside of work Nicholas enjoys going to the beach, playing golf, staying active, traveling with his friends and exploring new cities searching for the best restaurants.
